Acoustic Challenge Rules:  Each participant has 15 minutes to perform all original music.  A panel of judges, all in the music industry, will use an official ballot to select winners.  Judging is based on Song Structure, Originality, Stage Presence and Musicianship.  A small portion of the vote will be “audience response.”  *Acoustic instruments* only!  No electronic enhancements (effects pedals, etc.) permitted.  Drum equipment is limited to congas, bongos or hand drums.  Keyboards may be used on piano setting only.

Only Acoustic Solos or Duos will be judged.

Sound equipment (p.a. system, monitors, microphones and speakers) will be provided.

The 2018 Acoustic Challenge is one for the History Books!

It was an amazing series with tons of excellent talent!

Outstanding songs were performed by these finalists:

Gary Prisby brought the house down with his vibrant vocals and blues guitar licks

Brian Albig demonstrated his originality on songs about life, "landscape" and people

Sadie Freund's voice mesmerized everyone in the room with her thoughtful songs

Lonesome Bob's powerful voice and his song's fun, funny and thought-provoking lyrics stood out

Jessa, sounding quite polished, performing her own songs for the very first time in front of an audience
