Jeff Marks is a singer, songwriter and acoustic guitar player that likes to entertain as well as play music.
Jeff has been performing with various groups and as a solo artist in and around Pittsburgh, PA for over 10 years.
Jeff was the 2007 Winner of Pittsburgh’s Acoustic Challenge run by Three Rivers Productions.
He demonstrated great use of his guitar skills, introduced some amazing originals and engaged the audience
with his description of the songs. He also struck a chord with the audience and judges with his new song about
the addition of a baby girl to his family!
In addition to playing original and cover songs, he has performed with the Tim Bassett Big Band,
playing with such notables as Al Martino and comedian Rich Little. Additionally, he has played various places in the
eastern US including Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina, New Jersey,
Maryland and Michigan. Jeff's travels also include performances in California and London, England.
Jeff is a versatile entertainer with performances that feature a long and varied list of songs spanning
50 years of popular music. This extensive list allows him to alter his show to fit a client's needs.
Jeff has performed at schools, charity events, weddings, bars, clubs, restaurants, community festivals,
pool parties and street fairs. As a member of Pittsburgh bands such as Last Fall and JD STRUM, he has opened
for national acts such as Kansas, Sister Hazel, Low Millions, Carbon Leaf and the Clarks. Jeff is willing to
travel up to 250 miles from Pittsburgh for events.
Jeff has formed a new band called Greet The Morning that has performed at the Steeler Tailgate Party
in Station Square as well as other main community events and bars and clubs throughout the area.
Greet The Morning can accommodate any type of event and is focusing on performing their own original,
catchy tunes.
Jeff Marks’ influences include The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett,
John Mayer, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Goo Goo Dolls,
Gavin Degraw, Jack Johnson, Van Morrison, and other local singer/songwriters and bands.
